Wanderlog follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.
Like any other website, Wanderlog uses 'cookies'. These cookies are used to store information including visitors' preferences, and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. If you choose to sign in with Google, we will receive your email and Google account ID to help us authenticate you when signing in, and for contacting you with product updates and account changes.

If you grant us permission to see which of your friends also use Wanderlog, we will use that information only to display a list of itineraries/trip plans and other contributions that your Facebook friends have created on Wanderlog.
You can also sign up for Wanderlog using your email and a password. We will retain this information to authenticate you and occasionally contact you with product updates and account changes.
Once signed into Wanderlog, you may set a username, display name, and home base location to display on your profile. This information will be used as a part of your public profile on Wanderlog for readers to get to know you, and is associated with your posts.
When using Wanderlog, you may select places, write comments, Like specific places, and paste images/maps into your trip logs. This data will be stored and shown when someone views a trip log that you have authored.
To delete your account and associated user data, you may sign in and visit our settings page, which includes a "Delete account" button. Our system will fully delete your account within two weeks of receiving the request.
Third-party ad servers or ad networks use technologies like cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons that are used in their respective advertisements and links that appear on Wanderlog, which are sent directly to users' browser. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. These technologies are used to measure the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns and/or to personalize the advertising content that you see on websites that you visit.
Note that Wanderlog has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers.
