I visited Italy in the summer season of 2017 but the location and information are current. I add new location and cafee for next trip

General tips

Paris has an extensive network of trains, buses, and even water taxis on the river, so it's very easy to get around. It's also very walkable, and with amazing architecture, there is always something to see to help pass the time.
The underground subway within the city is called the Metro. You can buy single-trip tickets, a book of ten tickets, or a multi-day pass.  https://www.ratp.fr/en/titres-et-tarifs .
Paris Navigo Decouverte Pass
If your trip includes getting to/from the airports, day trips to Versaille, Paris Disney, etc., on the RER, you can also get the Paris Navigo Decouverte weekly pass for 22.80€  + 5€  one-time fee to get the card.
It covers all Metro rides, trains to/from CDG airport, OrlyBus to/from Orly airport, RER trains, and buses. The train to/from CDG alone is about 11 euros from central Paris, so this pass could pay for itself if you plan on riding the metro a lot.
Airports
There are two major airports in Paris. Charles De Gaulle (to the northeast) and Orly airport (to the south). Both are well connected to the city and have flights to many destinations. CDG is a larger airport, so more flights will probably land there, especially from other continents.
Train Stations
If you want to take a day trip from Paris, or are arriving by train from another location, make sure you check which train station you are arriving at.  There are six major train stations in Paris, each managing trains that depart towards different regions of France and other countries.
Gard du Nord is, in the 10th Arr., where the Eurostar from London arrives/departs, as well as other high-speed trains to Brussels, Amsterdam, Cologne, etc.
  • Tip- there is a train boarding area, but you usually can't go in until ~1 hour before train departure time. If you arrive early, you can wait at the train station (plenty of food and shopping).
  • Going to the UK, you will have to go through border control/passport control since the UK is no longer part of the EU.
This is a good overview of all six stations, including which cities/locations they serve:
Hop-On/Hop-Off Water taxi
This is a great way to see the city/buildings from the water and get around the city. One-day tickets are 20 euros for adults, and you can ride as much as you want. There are nine stops along the Seine river.  Just make sure you note which side of the river the stop is on. There are signs for Batobus as well.
Google Maps
Google maps provide great directions to get around the city (has metro time schedules, tells you when to get off the train,  live-view walking directions, etc.). You can download the directions between two locations ahead of time if you know you won't have service.

Where Emily meets her new bestie Mindy for the first time.
Situated in the center of historic Paris, across from the Louvre, the Palais-Royal Garden is bordered by the Palais-Royal and adjacent galleries and offers a place for a relaxing respite away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It’s also featured on some guided tours that explore the “hidden gems” of Paris, but the show’s popularity probably means it won’t remain a mystère much longer.
7

L'atelier des lumières

Museum
The site of Emily, Camille, and Gabriel’s awkward Van Gogh hangout.
A relatively new addition to the city, the Atelier des Lumières opened in Paris in 2018. The sensory arts space, located in a repurposed 19th-century foundry, has over a hundred digital projectors and a spatialized sound system. Prior exhibitions include "Van Gogh / Klein" which combined the works of both artists and "Dalí," a surrealistic landscape showcasing the highly imaginative works of Salvador Dalí.

Villefranche-sur-Mer

Where Emily escaped the city with Mindy and Camille.
To kick off the second season, Emily heads to St-Tropez with her beau but (spoiler alert!) ends up dining alone at a fictional beachside club; the location is actually an IRL restaurant located 2 miles (3.2 kilometers) from the small fishing village of Villefranche-Sur-Mer, near Nice. During a stay in Paris, plan a weekend jaunt to the French Riviera to soak up some sun and Champagne. The train ride from the city can take between 6–10 hours, depending on the service.

Concerts & Shows
In the sixth episode of the first series, Emily visits the sumptuous Palais Garnier. The opera house, built by architect Charles Garnier at the behest of Napoleon III, is almost monstrously imposing on the outside, but undeniably beautiful on the inside. Highlights include the fairytale marble central staircase, and Marc Chagall’s dreamy mural on the ceiling of the grand auditorium. Going to a show there is an unforgettable experience, even if the tickets don’t come cheap. The venue also offers self-guided and guided tours, where patrons get a chance to learn about the legend of the Phantom of the Opera.

Maison du vieux Montmartre

Historical landmark
Mindy calls Rue de l’Abreuvoir ‘the prettiest street in Paris’ and explains to Emily that it is also called la rue qui va au bout, i.e. the road that leads to the end. While neither of those things is officially true, Rue de l’Abreuvoir is definitely one of the quaintest streets in Montmartre! This is where Emily decides to set up a marketing campaign for Hästens beds, and it’s also where Maison Rose, the charming restaurant where Emily and Mindy have dinner in the fifth episode, is located. Opened in 1908 by Germaine Pichot, Maison Roseonce played host to many famous people, including Pablo Picasso, Edith Piaf and Albert Camus.
