Q&A about Ambleside

Manchester Airport should be fine. ’Enough’ depends on your definition of ‘explore’ 😊. If you’re into exploring through hiking, then no. Ambleside is a good starting point to go around the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks. The Forest of Bowland and other AONBs are near there too. City wise, you could check out Manchester and Liverpool. You could drive to Glasgow/Edinburgh and then towards Glencoe for a taste of Scotland. But only a wee one 😉😊
