Divine, holy and serenity. I was blown away with the holiness of the place and I spent a beautiful time just sitting and meditating on the staircases of the lake. If you are at Pushkar, do visit this without thinking twice.

Pushkar lake is in the Pushkar town of Rajasthan state. This is considered as one of the most sacred lakes for the Hindus. The holy temple of the creator-God Brahma is located here. This town is also famous for Pushkar Fair. The Ghats are constructed all around the lake. We visited this place when we were driving down from New Delhi to Ahmedabad. We decided to stay overnight at Ajmer on our way back. Since we reached early at Ajmer, we decided to visit the famous Pushkar temple and lake, which is about one hour from Ajmer. We wanted to take some short cut so we asked the local people, but we drove through the horrible road and it took double the time. (I should have trusted Google Map.) The lake was not clean and we avoided to take a dip into the holy water. Unfortunately, as expected the pujari was chasing us and pushing for bigger puja. Pujari or Pandit told the mythological story of Brahma and that this is the only temple of Brahma in India, which is not true. The guide is not necessary but we hired a guide who hooked up us with pandit for puja. It is easy to navigate into the town and narrow market place. Lots of variety shops were on both the sides of the road which sells very nice artifacts at reasonable price. Overall not a pleasant experience but I could check mark one item from my bucket list.

Pushkar us the love of my life and Pushkar lake a very special place for me. It’s vibrated with unbelievable Shanti Spiritual energy and one of the best places in the India for long stays. There are lot of things to experience around the lake, from observing the local Indian pilgrimage, taking mind blowing photos, enjoying the sunset at the famous sunset point, meditation or strolling in one of it’s quite spots,etc… It’s the place I visit twice a year ❤️🕉🇮🇳

Pushkar is the only place where idol of Brahma (Hindu deity ) is worshipped . The lake near the temple is called pushkar lake . The lake is clean . Not allowed to enter the water . You cannot offer flowers and other pooja stuff to the lake . There's separate pools near it where you can do the same .

One and only religious place for Lord Brahma. One of the best and peaceful place in Rajasthan. The water from lake was not entirely clean so please avoid from taking dip in the lake. Only thing that can down this place is the pandas and pujaris. They force you for puja and demanding a lot of money and after puja they throw all the waste in the lake and pollute the water.

Before going towards Brahma Mandir, there was a way to the left side for the lake. Around/before Ganesh Ji temple on the way. Thou this lake water not so clean. People use this place for अस्थि विसर्जन. So you will see lots of people doing rituals for that. Though there is a seperate Ghat for Bath than the Ritual one. Places to keep shoes. On sunny days, the floor is just burning so much on bare feet.

Pushkar lake is one of the greatest attraction to visit the place. It's in center of city and one can view it from far too. Best time to visit is during sunrise or sunset. Local market is good which open early morning till late evening. There are many cafe nearby which offer great view and food.

This is the holy place for Hindus and considered as only temple of creator “Brahma”. The wall of outer section of temple has names of many people who contributed toward the temple. Temple atmosphere is bit louder as devotees offer their prayers. Photography is strictly prohibited in temple premises. Due to high rush there are good arrangements of security as well. The outer street of temple are good to walk around as it connects the nearby ghats. The cleanliness is not up to mark.

Nice place with lot many temples . Savitri temple you can go by cable car or by trekking also. In Pushkar you can enjoy camel safari also, though they don't show you much but can be a little change. We were lucky that famous cattle fair of Pushkar had started, lot of horses, camel were being brought for sale purchase.

Just outside the temple there is huge market filled with beautiful rajasthani things. There are places to eat just outside the temple as well. However, believe me the temple administration or the concerned authorities should note that the cleanliness, proper queue system and a thorough following of set regulations happen at this divine place. Devotees travel from far and wide to reach here only to find themselves being pushed and pulled in the crowd after opening of doors for darshan. There were people clicking pictures, carrying heavy luggage etc inside the temple. The policeman stationed there objected o about bags only to those who were dressed differently from the local people!! The announcement done by some temple person was mostly Abudive towards a few devotees that too in the Mike!! The serene atmosphere was disturbed by unrelenting croud who didn't want to wait for their turn. It's sad that such divine places are not bring looked into to improve tourist experiences!!

So Savitri reached the Yagya where seeing Gayatri she became angry and cursed Brahma that no one would ever worship her. Later he mitigated the curse by allowing his worship at some places, the most prominent of which was Pushkar. Architecture of Brahma Temple Pushkar - The Brahma Temple was originally built in the 14th century on the banks of the Pushkar River. You can reach the temple with the help of marble stairs. At the top of the main gate, a statue of a swan, the vehicle of Lord Brahma, can be seen. The main gate will take you to the main hall, also known as the mandapa. Then after this there is a sanctum sanctorum where Lord Brahma resides. In the temple a beautiful tortoise made of marble can be seen towards the sanctum. The marble floor in black and white tiles is filled with hundreds of silver coins offered to Lord Brahma by devotees. The walls here are decorated with attractive images of peacocks and Goddess Saraswati. There is also a silver door inside this temple which leads to a small cave which houses the temple of Lord Shiva. This idol of Lord Brahma is situated with four legs and four hands and his four faces are looking in four different directions. Later when the Lord made his visit to earth, he started with the preparations of a Yajna (fire Sacrifice) at the Jyestha Pushkar Lake, to perform the Yajna undisturbed by the demons, Lord Brahma created a chain of hills surrounding it. However, his wife Savitri was not available for Yajna and was disruptive of the proceedings. On this, Lord Brahma requested Lord Indra to send him a suitable consort to complete the Yajna. When Gujar’s daughter, named Gayatri was finally sent to take the seat next to Brahma as his wife, Savitri arrived. Feeling disturbed, she cursed Brahma that the lord would never be worshipped by anyone. Later on, she permitted his worship only in Pushkar. Supposed to be a very important pilgrimage centre for the Hindus. But the spirituality is spoilt by the local guides who persuade and emotionally blackmail you to make donations. The place has a rich history and is worth the visit. But just close your ears and walk straight to the lake and then to the temple. You definitely don't need a guide. They will say it is free of cost and then slowly start nagging you to perform some rituals and make donations.

Visited the Brahma Temple in Pushkar, the only one in the world dedicated to Lord Brahma. The temple exuded a unique vibe, and the ambiance was serene. Unfortunately, authorities didn't permit photography or videos, hindering my plan to share the darshan with my mom via a video call. Regular announcements reinforced this policy. On the positive side, the temple was well-maintained, and the atmosphere was peaceful with minimal queues. The surrounding market resonated with a holy aura. Overall, a spiritually enriching experience. Giving it a thumbs up!

Visited ajmer Sharif on my way to Puskar, we had to stay in a small hotel named Kalyan for the night; room was quite decent and budget friendly too. Inside dargah was too much congested as usual; we had to be careful in many ways. experience was good anyway...

My visit to Ajmer Sharif was a spiritually enriching experience. The aura of the shrine is undoubtedly divine, welcoming people of all religions. However, finding parking can be a challenge due to narrow lanes, and the market area can get quite crowded. The availability of private parking for a reasonable fee of Rs 100 was convenient. It's worth noting that while most priests seek donations, there's no obligation. The walk to the shrine adds to the pilgrimage feel. But considering the crowd be watchful of your belongings, kids etc. One need to cover the head and place slippers randomly at some place (no proper arrangement). Please go with a free mind and don't get bogged down by priests asking for donations.

Wow, such a beautiful place to visit. You can offer flowers to both the dargahs inside. There are price ranges from 50rupees to 500. People inside that dargah ask you for money and don't give much but 50 bucks is enough. Carry enough transitions it will be fine. I ate famously Maal Puri from Khasim Ali shop it's right there near the entrance. It was good. Half kg is 130 rupees

Khwaja Garib Nawaz At the time of the birth of Moinuddin Chishti, Sistan, East Persia, was facing plunders and bloodsheds. These intruders took advantage of Sultan Sanjar's weak administration. The people's lives and honour were always in threat. The Muslim nation's followers had been completely crushed by the ferocious Tartars. They outraged mankind in nearly every center of Muslim civilization and culture, which dates back 600 years. Because of such situations father of khwaja Moinuddin, khawaja Ghiyasuddin Hasan, One day decided to pack his belongings and left Sistan for a safer location. He moved to Neshapur, the capital city, with his family. There resided knowledgeable Ulama and respected Sufis who taught intellectuals from all over the world moral and spiritual enlightenment. There were physicians and painters with exceptional qualifications living there. There were lush gardens and canals, as well as fertile agricultural areas. Khawaja Ghiyasuddin Hasan is said to have purchased an orchard with a windmill in this area in order to settle down for a tranquil life heritage, the sack of Neshapur, coupled with the loss of his beloved parents, caused him to reflect deeply. Hazrat Khawaja Muinuddin Chishti was a descendant of the famous lineage of Hazrat Ali, the Holy Prophet Mohammed's son-in-law and cousin. His dad Syed Ghiyasuddin Hasan was a highly religious guy and a good man. According to historians, Khwaja Muinuddin Chishti showed early signs of his unique piety and willingness to sacrifice for others even as a youngster. When a lady with a baby came to meet his mother and the baby begged for food, the future newborn saint would make a sign to his mother to feed the weeping baby from her own breast. The sight of his mother doing this delighted Muinuddin much. He used to share his own meal with his playmates when he was 3 or 4 years old. Khawaja Muinuddin used to ruminate for hours on end about the heinous scenes of the Khorasan massacre, which he had been witnessing with great pain for several years since his youth. His interest in worldly life and pleasures was rapidly dwindling as a result of these tragic impressions. He was deeply concerned and yearned to be free of such a mad world if he could only see a way out.

Visiting this dargah is a part of spiritual upliftment that brings you peace and tranquility. However,I am completely disappointed with the so called khadims of this dargah who only care about money and that's it. They will give you only the slightest of recognition only if you give money, buy chaadar or flowers. Right from the start of the entrance till the mazaar is all about money. Before you enter, you have to pay for footwear, as soon you enter, people will heckle you to buy chaadar and what not, when you visit the shrine, the khaadims will command ( not request, not before, nothing)you to offer money as though without money your prayers will remain unanswered. Deeply disappointed with the state of affairs and administration of the dargah

Beautiful temple on such height, there are steps to reach the temple or one can go via ropeway ( Rs 150 per person). Breathtaking view from the top of the mountain where the temple is situated. I would like it to be a little more cleaner. Visitors should beware of monkeys in the temple premises.

When we arrived the cable car was out of service so we didn't have a chance to go up easily and we took the stairs. The climbing up the stairs was hard and tiring but the view was good. We didn't reach the top and had to return but we got very close to the end. In total it was a good experience.

Excellent place! It's a half an hour trail by walk. Do experience the calm nature, sight of surrounding and listen to your mind. None of the monkey (black faced) show any aggression! They literally sit on nearby trees and rock as monks.

You can walk from Brahma Mandir to a place where you can get an Auto/Camel ride to the Start point of Ropeway The auto/camel ride point is about 1-2Km from Brahma Mandir. It's better to see one of these because it's a bit too much for walking on sunny days. Auto costs ₹20 per person. The Ropeway cost ₹165 per person. Best time to go is right after 2PM or close to 2PM as Mandir re-opens at 2PM. We didn't get any queue but when we came back around 3PM there was a long queue for Rope Way only. The rope way system is good, not that costly either. It. It is a good option if you have time and energy to take the stairs. There are 3 Cabins at once, and it stops mid way for people to get onboard and get off on each end. For a better view, try to get on the end side of the Cabins/Cart. There are quite some Baboons around the temple be careful not to annoy them. They are harmless.

The Ropeway facility is great. The temple is fine. But there is no proper place for sitting to enjoy the great weather on heights. I would have also appreciate a tea shop or a small restaurant on top with nice views that would have been a cherry on the top.

If you like to try ropeway then this place is great.. There is quite waiting time to visit Savitri Mata temple by ropeway. If you like to climb by stairs then it's ok... Temple is nice and spend some time to enjoy the spiritual feelings and peaceful environment with high altitude...

The temple is very beautiful and spiritual. It's situated on the top of the hill. There are two ways you can reach. The first one is the stairs and the second one is Ropeway. So now let me tell you how people choose to go there...if they choose stairs so either they had asked the mata savitri to grant their wish and then they go by stairs or some of the tourists go for "Bundi" the holy one I was a foreigner couple they were doing it and they told someone about it I just over heard it and got to know about Bundi also. It almost takes you 2 hours to reach the temple. And If you are choosing Ropeway so it only costs 150 INR for one person for both sides it's a great option if You just want to visit the temple and add something new in your travelling experience and memories. It can become adventurous and spiritual at the very same time. When you'll reach the temple you'll see a bulk of monkeys they just stay there and sit and chill. Don't be aftraif when you see them but yeah make sure you take care of your belongings I can't say if they'll snatch one of your things and will run away!! Haha just kidding. They were really nice until you'll tease them. So visit the temple it's really beautiful and gives a breath taking view. It's almost 450kms up from the floor or ground whatever is convenient for one's understanding. But it's just an amazing temple. You can sit there make videos and take photos and have really great time with your family, friends, beloved and solo time also. There is a mini market also where you can have snacks and tea. A free parking lot also available. It's a must visit place if you are visiting Pushkar.

Quiet holy place, preferably visit on weekdays. Beware of monkeys, they try to grab whatever is in your hand. Beautiful scenery was seen through ropeway.

It was a fun cable car ride experience. We were waiting in line for about 30 minutes. There is a beautiful view at the top. Lots of langur monkeys. But there was a lot of garbage. We walked down and it was an unpleasant experience because there were heaps of garbage everywhere on the hill. It’s sad, especially this knows as a sacred place for Hindus.

Must Visit Place in Puskar. Ropeway facility is available here.Rs. 165 for to and fro. Stairs are also there but not everybody can use those smoothly. Railings are not there. You will find many leaf monkeys also there , specially on top near temple premises.

This temple of Mata Savitri is situated at the hill top around two km from Brahmaji temple. One can go to this temple by climbing stairs which are around 900 in number or one can go up by Ropeway. From top of the hill, one can see Pushkar and around areas and enjoy the place.

People go to witness sunrise and view of pushkar from top. Temple itself is very calm and has very religious value, climbing to top takes too much of efforts as it has only stairs to reach to the top. Ropeway also has started. Overall, great experience.

On reaching the temple, the views are breathtaking Pushkar city can be seen with a bird eye view even ajmer city also visible from here. Those who want to burn some extra calories, try the steps..

A must do. Walked up and back. It’s really worth it. It’s free to do but there’s a fee for the cable car. Easy walk from Pjskar town so don’t get sucked into renting a tuk tuk. Cold water and snacks at the top of needed. Amazing view over Pushkar and surrounds. Monkeys at the top are a great attraction too. Pity no one scrubs the steps at the top. The monkeys, though cute, are not house trained….🚽

Temple is located atop a hill. Views of the Pushkar lake and surrounding areas from the temple are superb. There are two modes to reach the top of hill. First and preferred one is by Rope Way that costs Rs 165 both ways. Ropeway trolley will take you to the temple in about ten minutes but waiting time for purchase of tickets and trolley is from 30 to 40 minutes. If you are in good health, you may prefer to climb around 1000 steps to the top and enjoy some great views on the way. It will take around 30 minutes to reach the top by walking - less than the time taken by Rope way including waiting time. Temple closes from 1 pm to 2 pm. So when it reopens at 2 pm, there is a huge rush. Avoid 2 pm to 3 pm slot.

A very beautiful temple on the hill. One can see the whole pushkar from the temple courtyard. It is about 1 km from Brahma temple and can be reached through 2 wheelers and 4 wheelers. It can be reached either by rope way or stairs. There are lots of monkeys outside the temple, from which you need to be a little cautious. The ticket price for the rope way is 165 per person.

The main attraction here is a two-storied Swarna Nagari Hall behind the temple. It is a museum housing astonishing replicas of the life story of Rishabhdev. Entire collection here is gold plated. It took 25 years to build and 1000 KGs of gold is used in making. Its interior is adorned with mineral colour paintings, Belgian glass and stained glass work. There is a replica of Ayodhya city where Rishabhdev was born and Prayag city where he renounced the world. Also has a very old Jain temple in campus. It's a prime tourist spot in Ajmer. You can visit Nasiaji and then go to nareli which is also not far.

Very beautiful place. All the statues and sculptures are made with fine art. Because of this place we realised the value of are the past people respect. The golden colour shows richness of this gallery. You can able to observ the hole art from 1st & 2nd floor this is the special thing about this place.

Wonder of a place which has a Jain temple and also a display of Jain epics crafted out of 1000's of kilos of gold! Never knew such places existed. This was a total surprise for me as I happened to visit Ajmer on my way to Jodhpur. Entry ticket of 10 rupees. You can walk around the depiction and take a very nice view if you arrive around the opening time, which was 10 AM when I visited. Totally worth the visit. Jain glory is shown in gold!

Only the museum is open to the public. Just a one time visit. No cloak rooms available, we had to carry our luggage all the three floors.

Only entry to mesusm is allowed, strict no entry for non Jain for darshan and prayers. The museum is not maintained as walls visitors scratch their names to it. However the depiction of Ayodhya ji is very enlarged and beautifully detailed. Stairs are not optimum for elderly persons.

You will get awesome experience after visiting this place. Entry fee is RS. 30/- per adult person and free for kids below 10 year.

A place of worship. The structure is beautifully carved and pleasing to look at. Be mindful, as the place is too crowded and has a very narrow approach, with the croud you might just not feel that the place is worth visiting.

5 minutes walking distance from Dargah and also while coming from Taragarh fort you will get to that place. There is no entry fee...

This is a historic landmark and has very beautiful architecture but the local authorities had nothing to do with the maintenance of this place. Ha it was very badly maintained. There is no entry ticket for this place. It is located just near to dargah of ajmer. Very crowded place and it could be improved.

My favorite spot in all Ajmer. The little part of the mosque that is still standing is really beautiful, with the inscriptions on the walls still very much visible. Each column is different, and the ceilings are eye catching. Also, the goats climbing the walls added a bit more to the total experience. And it is free. It was captured by Hindu rulers back in time .after the built . And now it's the site under a s.i . But its said by locals as , it was built by jinns . The Place was great. According to local people this was built in two and half days by angels. The place have a different vibe. The only thing that is disturbing are the local photographers continuously poking you to get your picture clicked. There is no ticket to this monument.
